Who Wins: Unions or Employers?

Labour relations play a crucial role in maintaining a harmonious work environment and fostering positive employee engagement. In Ottawa, Ontario, the capital city of Canada, the significance of labour relations is not understated.

Through a collection of stories and lessons, I will explore the key factors that contribute to successful labour relations and highlights the importance of empathy, communication, and fair negotiation.

Story: The Brewery Workers' Union

In Ottawa's bustling craft beer scene, a local brewery faced a dilemma when their employees expressed concerns about their working conditions. The management initially resisted change, fearing the impact it might have on their bottom line.
